Kirk Session Structure
The Kirk Session of 62 active elders follow the unitary constitution. In 2014 we undertook a significant review of our structure to ensure it reflected the needs and ambitions of Session, members and our community. The resultant Committees were established in 2015 with the following remits: –
Core Group (Management Group)
Session’s Core Group consists of the Minister, Session Clerk, Treasurer and representatives from each of our Sub-Groups/Committees. Core Group are accountable to Session and have the following responsibilities.

Worship & Mission
Supporting the minister on matters pertaining to worship services, content and music including the involvement of our own Praise Bad. The group also have responsibility for outreach initiatives and pastoral care with a specific focus on those members in hospital and full time care.

Finance & Stewardship
All our financial management activities, stewardship programme, fundraising initiatives as well as our Social Committee programme are provided by this team under the leadership of our church Treasurer.

Districs & Visits
Responsible to Session for all matters relating to our Districts and pastoral care support by Elders and Visitors to the households and membersip of the family of St. John’s This also includes our Rollkeeper and education and training programmes for elders & visitors.

Buildings & Strategy
management of all church buildings, sanctuary, halls and manse including all maintenance & repairs and our on going Clock Tower developement programme.

Communications
Responsible for all matters pertaining to church publications, Sound & Projection of services, management of church website, Facebook page and other social media as well as church office operations.
