Longest Night
On the longest night of the year, just when it seems like the darkness might win, we turn again toward the Light.
In this contemplative Christmas service, we acknowledge the shadows of hard things in our lives and the world, while celebrating that the Light of the World creeps in beside us, to be born among us, shining into our lives with hope, peace, joy, and love.
The service includes an informal celebration of communion — the table is the meeting place of heaven and earth, the manger that holds the bread of life.
On the winter solstice, the 21st of December, at 7pm, Teri and David will lead the service at Old Gourock & Ashton.
