Sole Nominee

NOTE OF SOLE NOMINEE

The Reverend Teri Peterson will preach as Sole Nominee at Gourock: St John’s Church on Sunday, 10th December, at 11.00am.
Immediately after the service there will be a vote on whether or not Reverend Peterson should be appointed as the new minister of the congregation of St John’s.
Anyone whose name appears on the Electoral Register of the congregation shall be entitled to vote. No one else shall be entitled to vote.

BIOGRAPHY
Teri Peterson is a minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA), from Chicago Presbytery, in the process of transferring to the Church of Scotland. She has been doing a familiarisation placement at Marchmont St. Giles Parish Church in Edinburgh, having moved to Scotland in May. She holds a Master of Divinity degree from Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia, and a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance from DePaul University in Chicago. In addition to serving churches in the Chicago suburbs for over a decade, Teri also spent a year as a missionary in Egypt, and several months as a volunteer with the Iona Community.
